Commandment # 1. Your foundation should match your skin tone and your neck. You should never pick a lighter color foundation that makes you appear lighter. Now if you are darker in different places on your face, then you might want to buy two foundations. One that for the darker places on your face and one for the rest of your face. Or you can color correct the darker areas on your face before you apply your foundation.
Commandment # 2. You should wear a minimum of SPF 30 as your daily moisturizer. SPF is a must-have if you want gorgeous skin. This isn’t just for lighter complexions only this is for everyone no matter what color complexions you are.
Commandment # 3. This one is very important, drink plenty of water. Water is key to beautiful looking skin. You need to drink eight glasses of water every day, plus it a good habit to start. So drink up!
Commandment # 4. Remove all makeup before going to bed. I know spending hours on the perfect makeup look. Or master the complicated cat-eye wing liner to take off all your good hard work. I’ve been there! It’s important to let your skin breathe. Makeup can clog your pores which can cause breakouts and really bad skin problems. So washing your face doesn’t seem so bad after all.
Commandment # 5. Have fun with makeup. Don’t worry about how you apply your makeup. This is the time to learn to master the Application of each product. It’s okay to get a wrong just keep practicing. Once you figure out your style of makeup, then you’ll be able to enhance your features. Have fun!
